Liber Malorum - Chapter 66 - Pneumonia
By seani fool on Nov 16, 2009 | In Paganarchy, Publishing, magick, occulture, Liber Malorum | Send feedback »
Hello one and all. It's time to release another chapter of Liber Malorum!!
This chapter, Pneumonia was written by myself and is one of the weaving fabrics of the overall Liber Malorum tapestry - what do I mean by that? Well if you've been following my blog at all, you'll know that each of the 72 chapters in Liber Malorum are stand-alone reads, as well each being an essential fabric of the whole work that is Liber Malorum.
The Pneumonia chapter is also the last appearance in the book of the character Helene who appears a number of times previously. Helene is a favourite amongst psychonauts, SMers and dykes, in that order ![]()
I haven't been posting the chapters from Liber Malorum in numeric order, but as they become relevant in my day to day life. Well currently there are a whole number of people discussing the Mayan prophecies of 2012. Is it the end of time like some predict? Or just an ordinary year in the Gregorian calendar...
Well I don't really answer that question in Pneumonia, but I do discuss how 2012 might be useful to the spiritual and pagan and activist communities.
Happy reading!
Download Chapter 66 - Pneumonia.
From here you can also see previous chapter releases or even order your own copy ![]()

David Rankine reviews Liber Malorum
By seani fool on Nov 12, 2009 | In Paganarchy, Reviews, Publishing, magick, occulture, Liber Malorum, Chaos Magic | Send feedback »
David Rankine, author of many fine books including Becoming Magick, Climbing the Tree Of Life and Practical Planetary Magick (co-authored with the lovely Sorita D'Este) has written a very positive review of Liber Malorum.
Here's an excerpt of it:
Bernadette (or burn many if they are mounting up faster than your ability to pay them) is the patsy, the eye of reason exposed to the horned serpent selling sex, drugs, magick and music from the garden stall. She is the straight woman providing mundane rationality as a piece of malleable plasticine for the plethora of authors to tease into bizarre and fantastic shapes. This book is a literary psychedelic with special guest appearances from the good, the bad and the ugly.
I enjoyed this book and seriously suggest you give it a try.
Read the rest of the review on the the Esoteric Book Review website.
Go on.
hugs to all from Sean

Hello all you Children of the Apple out there!
Time for another Liber Malorum - Children Of The Apple chapter release. I've decided not to do them in sequential order, but to release them in the order that events unfold in my life. Without revealing too much of my inner world here, the next chapter I'm putting out into the world is Chapter 57 - Do You Want To Believe? - by Frater Carfax. This magnificent story has many hidden facets to it, not least of which are hidden behind the lead two characters' names.

Hello Dear Children Of The Apple,
It has been a very exciting first year for us here at PagAnarchy Press. Not only has our first book release been a pleasantly surprising success on the occult scene, but we now have a few more items lining up ready to be released in the new year. I'll post more about that when the details are confirmed but let's just say it is going to be bloody and awesome.
What I really wanted to tell you is that we now have a big stash of Liber Malorums sitting in our warehouse(1) and we are able to shift them at discounted prices. Whilst you can still get Liber Malorum over at Amazon.co.uk, we are able to get it to you cheaper than they are. Check out our new Ordering Page for details.
So a big nyah nyah nyah to them, and a big happy Solstice, Chrimbo and Hannuka to you.
Best wishes to all from us all here at PagAnarchy Press.

Liber Malorum - Chapter 3 - Oath of the Conscious Metanoid by Nathaniel Harris
By seani fool on Oct 21, 2008 | In Paganarchy, Publishing, magick, Liber Malorum | 3 feedbacks »
Hello all, it's time for another chapter release!
Regular readers of this blog will know I'm slowly releasing Liber Malorum - children of the Apple onto the web for all to read and it's time for another chapter - Oath of the Conscious Metanoid by Nathaniel Harris - to be set free.
I've previously released only shorter chunks of the book, but here is the first full-length story that appears within Liber Malorum. I put this story in early as it really packs a punch and introduces some pretty interesting concepts. Oath of the Conscious Metanoid presents readers with their first opportunity to join the Order of the Imaginary Conspiracy. Dare you?
Nathaniel Harris is a multimedia artist with over 23 years experience in sorcery, witchcraft, and magick. A strong willed individual who cannot abide hypocrisy or obsequious office seeing, he generally steers clear of anyone who claims to be a part of the wider (non-existent, according to Nathaniel) 'occult community'. His work may be found at;

Oracle Occult Magazine reviews Liber Malorum

Sara Mulryan from the fantastic Oracle Occult magazine has just reviewed Liber Malorum in the latest issue 9. Wow, I'm well chuffed with what she had to say about it! Read on:
If your answer is no, please, read no further.”
Oath of the Conscious Metanoid
by Nathaniel J. Harris in Liber Malorum
So, just how do you begin to describe the Liber Malorum – is it a journey, an initiation, a revelation and an introduction to the mysteries? Could it be a ‘how-to’ manual; how-to join a cult, how-to clown, how-to renew your life, how-to lose your mind? Is it a collective of 23 cutting edge magickians, sorcerers and witches whose writing and life experiences have been woven together by a crazed fool into an 7th dimensional tapestry?
Is it a portal through which the innocent bystander can glimpse the workings behind the dashboard, gain a view of The Work at the edge of comprehension?
ENTERTAINING FICTION?

Mike Gleason, from The Pagan Activist has reviewed Liber Malorum. The Pagan Activist is a mammoth site with stacks of book reviews, forums, news, polls, sample spells and other useful and engaging pagan and activist inspired resources.
Mike gave Liber Malorum a full 5 moon rating! Here's a snippet of what he had to say:

Blackwells to go Print-On-Demand
By seani fool on Jun 27, 2008 | In Publishing | Send feedback »
Ooh! I found this article whilst browsing the lulu.com forums:
Blackwell's is to become the first high-street bookseller in the UK to offer print-on-demand books while customers wait. The innovation will be delivered by an "Espresso Book Machine" (EBM), which can print and bind any one of a million titles.
Set to be piloted this autumn in a branch that is yet to be announced, the chain plans eventually to install EBM machines in all 60 of its shops across the UK. The machine can currently print about 40 pages per minute, but a newer model due later this year is expected to double that speed.

Teal Talking Raven reviews Liber Malorum
By seani fool on Jun 23, 2008 | In Reviews, Fooling, Publishing, Liber Malorum | Send feedback »
Teal Talking Raven, one of the founding ministers of the original Companions Circle, has written a review of a chunk of Liber Malorum!!
Here's what is written:
"All the characters and incidents in this book are purely fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events that have taken place is purely
coincidentalsynchronistic."That official disclaimer before the beginning is a strong hint of the powerful foolishness that follows. After a fun prologue the book begins in The Garden (you know where) and poetically sheds new light on that infamous universal trouble-instigating scenario from an alternative perspective.
Chapter 56 (5 + 6 = Magical 11!) tells the story of a profound talk and discussion led by (book character) Seani Fool about the key elements of Fool Sorcery and the re-creative possibilities of funner chaos. My shaman-fool partner Chammy said that this chapter covers the 'gritty-nitty' of shamanic clowning.
So join us (you must show you aren't a bot) and read the exerpts digest these apples, then contact Sean for more possibilities. Yay fun restoration!

Liber Malorum - Chapter 1 - The Orchard Of Becoming

Hello all, how are you doing?
After last week's release of the Liber Malorum prologue, readers of this blog and elsewhere have been asking for more samples.
Well here it is. After asking the man himself, I'm now releasing Chapter 1 - The Orchard Of Becoming - by Frater Kaotec.
Kaotec is a fellow founding member of the HYDRA coven and a good friend of mine. He is one of five contributors that have more than one story within Liber Malorum and he is a genuine Child Of The Apple.
Since writing "The Orchard Of Becoming" he has released his own title on the Templars and a secret history of British occultism. Writing as "Stephen J Ash", The Black Knights was released on the 700th anniversary of the demise of the Templars. Go and check out if this sounds intriguing to you.
Kaotec lives in London and maintains an occultural blog here.

I was really chuffed to see Amazon has made Liber Malorum the "perfect partner" to the Illuminatus Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea. Wow! The Illuminatus Trilogy is my all-time favourite book!

Someone at Amazon must have read Liber Malorum and really got into it. I just wish they'd got around to stocking it! Any day now...
The Amazon Boogie
By seani fool on Apr 1, 2008 | In Paganarchy, Personal, Publishing, Liber Malorum | Send feedback »
I was asked by a good friend why Liber Malorum is not yet on Amazon. This is what I told her.
The full story is this:
I was using lulu.com at first, before I registered for an ISBN and stuff, and I still use lulu for their lovely hardcover versions but they have nothing to do with my distribution to amazon.
I went to a local printer in cardiff and organised my print run of 1000. they cost me about 4 quid each. expenses add up to about 2 quid each so i called my cost price 6 quid.
i though, hey, i will need to make it double that price. [I assumed that it would cost that much to organise everything] so i put the RRP on to £12 quid. BIG MISTAKE!!! i hadn't done my research. as you might know, amazon (and many large chains) require a 60% discount on books... plus they expect me to pay for postage. effectively if i had my book on amazon i would be losing about 3 quid per copy!!! i registered Liber Malorum on Amazon and had to immediately withdraw because of this. [This is why it still says "temporarily out of stock"].
so in another window, i hooked up with a distributor AK Press. AK told me that Amazon were great to do business with, once it was set up and they were great at dealing with small independent presses and distributors. AK told me i should change the RRP to something manageable otherwise i would never get on Amazon - and i should do it sooner rather than later because it would be harder to change later. i figured out what was the minimum i could have the RRP for - it is now £14.99 (which coincidentally adds up to 23). that covers costs and i still make a few pennies if i end up posting books to amazon myself via royal mail. [As a side effect of this, the book is for sale at many different outlets all at different prices. happy bargain hunting!]
But amazon hasn't (yet) accepted the price change. well amazon said they will accept it, and they said my price change is being processed, but that was over a month ago, and they are a very hard organisation to talk to. i'm still waiting for the RRP to change on the site, and then i (or my distributor) can finally start placing books there. meanwhile, we are all waiting to see what happens and hopefully the amazon behemoth will finally get it together.
phew!
with that in mind, if you have any ideas i would love love love to hear them! i don't expect you to stand on your head or anything drastic! but feel free to if you think it will help
and are you doing distribution at the moment? if you are able to help me get Liber Malorum out there, either via distribution or clever ideas or contacts at amazon or friends in the spirit world then that would be really appreciated. all pointers and tips are very very graciously welcomed!
love and apples (and probably some chocolate blessings too) from sean
(ps - i will post this on my blog coz others might be wondering just the same thing you asked)

Freedom Press review Liber Malorum
By seani fool on Mar 26, 2008 | In Paganarchy, Reviews, Publishing, Liber Malorum | Send feedback »
What ho!
I just saw that the wonderful people at Freedom Press have published a review of Liber Malorum in their issue dated February 16th.
The reviewer writes:
The stories and poems of Liber Malorum quest variously into the realms of magic, witchcraft, anarchism, psychedelic drugs and sex. There are spiritual uprisings in the desert, rebellions in the groves and woods, pirates, criminals, faerie huggers, subversives queering from police cells, tricksters and shape shifters. Keep your eyes out too for the myriad of nuances, messages and codes throughout. This is the stuff of the underground cult classic.
I'm so chuffed it has been enjoyed! Read the full review here.
With that high note, I'm looking for other places to have Liber Malorum reviewed. If you can think of any, please let me know.
Hugs to all from Sean!
